What was removed

    Limits & notes

    • Supported: .xlsx, .xlsm, .xlsb (local server processing — no cloud unlock APIs).
    • Does not remove file-open encryption (password required to open the file).
    • Older .xls files are not supported — Save As .xlsx / .xlsm / .xlsb in Excel first.
    • Default max upload: 10 MB (or your plan limit if lower). Jobs expire after 30 minutes.

    How to Use
    1. Drop or browse an Excel file (.xlsx, .xlsm, or .xlsb).
    2. Click Unlock file.
    3. Download the unlocked workbook when processing finishes.
    4. Click Reset to unlock another file.
    Pro Tips
    • Removes sheet/workbook/VBA protection metadata — you do not need the original password.
    • File-open encryption is not supported.
    • Legacy .xls BIFF unlock is not supported — Save As .xlsx/.xlsb first.
    • Digitally signed VBA projects may warn after unlock.
