Limits & notes

  • Supported: .xls, .xlsx, .xlsb, .xlsm (local server processing).
  • AES-256 encrypt modes require .xlsx or .xlsm.
  • VBA Project Lock requires .xlsm / .xlsb with macros.
  • Default max upload: 20 MB (or your plan limit if lower). Files stay in your session until Reset.

How to Use
  1. Upload an Excel file (.xls, .xlsx, .xlsb, or .xlsm).
  2. Choose Workbook, Worksheet, or VBA Project Lock and set options.
  3. Enter a password (min. 4 characters) and confirm.
  4. Apply lock, then download the secured file.
  5. Click Reset when finished.
Pro Tips
  • Use .xlsx or .xlsm for AES-256 password-to-open encryption.
  • VBA Project Lock needs .xlsm or .xlsb with a healthy macro project.
  • Range Level Lock on .xls is saved as .xlsx so Excel shows the range password popup.
  • Apply one lock type per run; re-upload to stack different protections.
